Rating basis & limits

Ford requires Trailer Tow 53R above 3,500 lb; a bumper ball mount is limited to 3,500 lb trailer and 350 lb . The standard receiver permits 7,500/750 lb; permits 5,510/550 lb. This tool assumes 10% tongue weight: a 5,510-lb Raptor trailer therefore exceeds its 550-lb tongue limit by 1 lb; the published remains 5,510 lb. Check actual scale weights and receiver labels. No F-150 weight-distributing-hitch threshold is applied: Ford’s Ranger chart specifies weight-carrying limits. Combined weight uses the matching engine/drive and published minimum base . Options, hitch equipment and real vehicle weight can consume the displayed margin; is a maximum, not the selected truck’s door-label rating. Respect , GAWR and hitch ratings. Trailer frontal area limit is 30 sq ft without 53R and 55 sq ft with it. Ford calls for 2% lower GVW/GCW per 1,000 ft at altitude. These area, and altitude limits are not calculated here. This is a load-planning illustration, not a braking or traction prediction.
