Privacy policy

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use that information to answer you, investigate corrections and handle your request.

We keep correspondence as needed for those purposes and any legal obligations. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Browser preferences

The guides use your browser’s local storage to remember whether sound is on or off. You can remove this preference by clearing this site’s browser data.

Vehicle selections may appear in the page address so you can share a build. Anyone you share that link with can see those selections.

We also store your analytics choice in your browser. Clearing this site’s browser data removes that choice.

Analytics and error reporting

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics and PostHog receive information about visits and interactions, such as pages viewed, referral sources, browser and device information, and clicks on guide controls. Their cookies or browser storage help measure repeat visits. We use these reports to improve the guides.

Analytics stays off until you allow it. You can change your choice below. We also keep analytics off when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We do not enable advertising personalization or session recordings.

Sentry helps us find software errors. Error reports can include the page path, browser and device information, stack traces and actions preceding an error. We remove request query strings, cookies, headers and request bodies from these reports, and do not enable Sentry’s default personal-data collection or session recording. Error reporting runs independently of optional analytics.

See Google’s privacy policy, PostHog’s privacy policy and Sentry’s privacy policy for how these providers handle data.

Hosting and service providers

Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical request data to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and request times.

Our hosting and email providers process information to provide their services. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the site and its users.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to manufacturers and other sources. Those websites have their own privacy practices, which apply when you visit them.

Your choices and questions

You can ask about information you have sent us or request its correction or deletion through our Contact page. We will consider your request under applicable law.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
