2026 Ford Mustang · A V8 engine
Which 2026 Ford Mustang trims have a V8 engine?
Five of the seven trims. A engine is standard on the GT, GT Premium, Dark Horse, Dark Horse Premium and Dark Horse SC. The and EcoBoost Premium can't be ordered with it. The cheapest Mustang with it costs $47,800. It's a GT Fastback coupe.
Our Mustang data has all seven US 2026 families, both bodies, both gearboxes, High groups, RTR, TLD, GT Performance, Dark Horse Handling, SC Track Pack, MagneRide, active exhaust, RECARO seats and wheel choices. It doesn't have the Mach-E, GTD, race-only Dark Horse R/S, dealer conversions, the announced SC convertible, special editions, paint, interior, and standalone options yet, so something missing from this page may still be offered.

Situation
Mustang · RWD · standard limited slip
480 hp · rear drive
The driver operates the clutch and six-speed manual. Ford’s manual launch-control function is a closed-course aid, not a guarantee of acceleration or grip. The demonstration shows power flow, not an instruction to perform a launch.
How this works
Ford 2026 order guide, current equipment pages and owner information. EcoBoost is 10AT only; GT uses MT82 or 10AT; Dark Horse uses TREMEC 6MT or 10AT; SC uses 7DCT. Selectable drive modes alter control calibrations, not the driven axle. Line-lock and drift brake are for track use only. Wheel states are qualitative; no torque split, acceleration, grip or stopping-distance prediction is made. MagneRide adjusts damping and does not add AWD. Summer tires are unsuitable for snow, ice or approximately 45°F and colder conditions.
