Situation
Mustang · RWD · Torsen
795 hp · rear drive
The supercharged 5.2L V8 drives the seven-speed dual-clutch and 3.73 Torsen rear differential. Its launch control is distinct from the six-speed manual launch-control feature on GT and Dark Horse.
How this works
Ford 2026 order guide, current equipment pages and owner information. EcoBoost is 10AT only; GT uses MT82 or 10AT; Dark Horse uses TREMEC 6MT or 10AT; SC uses 7DCT. Selectable drive modes alter control calibrations, not the driven axle. Line-lock and drift brake are for track use only. Wheel states are qualitative; no torque split, acceleration, grip or stopping-distance prediction is made. MagneRide adjusts damping and does not add AWD. Summer tires are unsuitable for snow, ice or approximately 45°F and colder conditions.
