Automatic AWD

The engine drives the front wheels and can also drive the rear wheels through a driveshaft. i-Activ adjusts drive as conditions change. The animation does not show how much power each receives.

How this works

This shows how power reaches the wheels. It does not predict grip or promise recovery. Assist is not for paved roads, tire chains or a different-size temporary spare. The 2026 owner’s manual describes Recovery Assist as Off-Road Traction Assist. It cancels after an engine restart. The new brake system is automatic; no driver-selected lock is modeled.

i-Activ AWD is standard on all eight trims. Both engines use a six-speed automatic; neither has an electric rear motor.

About these comparisons

Each illustration and link uses the build behind its number. Comparisons cover the model years and bodies in our guides. Different rows can use different trims and equipment. Missing values aren’t treated as zero; reported prices and inferred ratings aren’t ranked.

  • Lowest listed trim price in each guide, before destination, options, taxes and fees. Cab and body styles can differ.
  • Highest published output found in each guide. This compares available power, not acceleration or the trim you selected.
  • Best published combined rating found in each guide, including regular hybrids. Plug-in ratings and inferred matches are excluded.
