Rating basis & limits

Ram’s gasoline manual illustrates 10% and requires the stamped hitch limit to be respected. The factory XFH Class IV receiver is modeled, but its exact stamped tongue/weight-carrying limits were not established from the inspected primary documents; no Transit receiver limit or pickup weight-distribution threshold is substituted. A positive result checks only the displayed base-reference trailer, and 12,000-lb combined limits. Weigh the completed van and loaded trailer, check the actual receiver, , /tire limits and door-label payload. Add all options, fitted equipment, occupants and cargo to the load. Published base weights are not /option-adjusted and rounded payload figures can differ from GVWR minus base weight. Trailer brakes and wiring remain separate requirements. Active Driving Assist does not drive for you. Electric ProMaster is excluded; its manual does not recommend towing.

    About these comparisons

Each illustration and link uses the build behind its number. Comparisons cover the model years and bodies in our guides. Different rows can use different trims and equipment. Missing values aren’t treated as zero; reported prices and inferred ratings aren’t ranked.

    • Lowest listed trim price in each guide, before destination, options, taxes and fees. Cab and body styles can differ.
    • Highest published output found in each guide. This compares available power, not acceleration or the trim you selected.
