Rear coupling transfers drive
The turbo NX350 sends power through an eight-speed automatic and a mechanical propeller shaft to an electronically controlled full-time rear coupling. The current-generation manufacturer description keeps both axles driven; the illustration does not assert a numerical allocation. Drive distribution varies with conditions; there is no driver-selected fixed split or low range.
How this works
NX350 uses mechanical AWD and an eight-speed automatic. NX350h FWD powers only the front axle; NX350h AWD and NX450h+ use a separate rear electric motor with no mechanical driveshaft. Hybrid system horsepower is not the sum of motor peaks.
No low range, driver-selected locker or rear steering is fitted. Plug-in EV mode requires the 450h+ and suitable charge and conditions. The 2027 refresh is a separate, unpriced future model in this guide.
Illustrative wheel states; no traction, recovery, stopping-distance or efficiency prediction.
