2027 BMW X5 · Two-axle air suspension
Which 2027 BMW X5 trims have two-axle air suspension?
All one trims, as an option. BMW USA live checked October 17, 2026. Minimum current build $72,750 includes $650 mandatory Glass Controls; excludes $1,450 , taxes and fees. Luxury and Professional wheel increments include verified credits. Feature-page prices are valid equipped examples, not proven minimum prices across every comfort/technology combination. Two-axle air is optional on every 2027 X5 and standard on none. Valid option combinations were sampled, so we can't say which X5 with it costs least.
Our X5 data has the current US 2027 X5 40 xDrive, three designs, ten wheel/tire choices, six and selected standalone options. It doesn't have 2026 inventory, future , iX5, cosmetic selections, , maintenance plans and loaded towing/cargo calculations yet, so something missing from this page may still be offered.

Engine and electric boost
The small 48V motor inside the eight-speed transmission can assist the inline-six when pulling away. The combined driveline reaches the front and rear axles through mechanical shafts. The quoted motor boost must not be added to the 394 hp vehicle rating.
Auto: self-levelling; automatic lowering depends on speed and My Mode.
How this works
The 48V motor is integrated into the eight-speed transmission. It assists the engine and recovers energy. Both axles have mechanical drive; there is no independent electric rear axle. No fixed xDrive torque split is asserted.
Air suspension raises the body 20 mm in High and lowers it 40 mm in parked Low. Wheels remain on the ground. Restart returns to Auto; speed and mode restrictions apply. The future 50e plug-in is outside this launch catalog.
Illustrative xDrive and 48V states, not a traction, range or stopping-distance prediction. No plug or sustained EV mode on the 40 xDrive.
