2026 Hyundai Sonata · A hybrid powertrain

Which 2026 Hyundai Sonata trims have a hybrid powertrain?

Three of the six trims. Current 2026 US base MSRPs exclude $1,295 freight, paint, , taxes and dealer charges. Retail builder availability does not establish an open bank. A is standard on the Blue Hybrid, SEL Hybrid and Limited Hybrid. The SE, SEL Sport and N Line can't be ordered with it. The cheapest Sonata with it costs $29,200. It's a Blue Hybrid.

Our Sonata data has all six current US 2026 , the seven trim/drive configurations, wheels, major and gas/hybrid/HTRAC power-flow examples. It doesn't have paint, port/dealer accessories, cosmetic color combinations, open-order-bank confirmation and option-adjusted mass yet, so something missing from this page may still be offered.

Electric start

A typical light start uses battery energy through the drive motor and six-speed automatic to the front wheels. The engine can start when power demand, battery charge or temperature calls for it.

How this works

HTRAC is available only on gas SEL Sport; the disabled AWD choice on other trims reflects Hyundai’s equipment table. Every hybrid is front-drive. Hyundai’s hybrid energy-flow explanation permits motor drive, combined drive, engine drive and recovery; these are illustrative examples, not fixed speed thresholds or control software. No fixed torque split, grip, recovery percentage or stopping distance is predicted. Hybrid system torque is unpublished; 151 lb-ft is the motor rating. Battery and motor are represented as part of the hybrid powertrain, not a rear electric axle.
