Pacifica automatically reconnects its mechanical when conditions call for traction. A power transfer unit, driveshaft and rear drive module bring engine power rearward. This example does not claim a fixed split or predict grip.
How this works
Illustrative power flow, not a grip, stopping-distance or controller-calibration prediction. Pacifica uses a mechanical driveshaft and automatic rear-axle disconnect, with no rear electric motor. It does not add or a driver-selected lock. 2027 gasoline models only; the older Pacifica was and is not modeled here. AWD retains second- and third-row Stow n Go seating.
